ABOUT US
OUR HISTORY:
The Capital Cup Undergraduate Mooting Tournament (CapCup) was founded in early 2011 by then acting President of the Carleton Law and Legal Studies Society (CLLS) (Michael De Luca) and fellow moot team member (Evan Hamilton). Over the years, the tournament has continued to be hosted by the Carleton Law and Legal Studies Society (CLLS) and Carleton University (CU) under the management of the Capital Cup Organizing Committee.
The sustenance of the tournament could not have been maintained without the hard work of each year’s organizing committee and the support from the many tournament sponsors, judges, and participants.
CAPITAL CUP 2020
Capital Cup 2020 will be held online due to COVID-19 restrictions. The tournament will only be open
to Carleton University students on the moot team.
We are sorry we won't be able to host all the amazing mooters from schools across Ontario and Canada this year. We are looking forward to hosting you all at Capital Cup 2021.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

THE CARLETON LAW AND LEGAL STUDIES SOCIETY (CLLSS)
The Law and Legal Studies Society (CLLSS) at Carleton University attempts to create a unified legal studies organization that engages students within the Department of Law to become involved and further their legal knowledge. As a society, we attempt to work with various institutions to further the study of law at Carleton. Likewise, we aim to spread legal knowledge throughout the Carleton campus and Ottawa community, through academic and social events. The CLLSS Executive use their diverse knowledge to aid students who are having difficulty in classes, and as a representative of the Department of Law & Legal Studies, we strive to promote a legal understanding across campus.
